What Couples Say About Weddings at LAMI
💡 At a Glance: When we brought together the messages sent by couples after their weddings at LAMI, several themes appeared again and again. They loved the venue and food, but what stayed with them most was the privacy of having the entire venue to themselves, the continuity of working directly with the owner from consultation through the wedding day, and the happy memories their families continued to talk about afterward.

Hello, I’m Mi-young On, founder and wedding director of LAMI Convention Wedding.
I personally handle each consultation, create the floral arrangements, and oversee the wedding day. By the time a celebration ends, I am usually ready to sit down for a while.
After putting away the flowers, clearing the tables, and closing the hall, my legs are often exhausted. And that is usually when a message arrives.
“Thank you so much for everything today.”
— Messages from LAMI couples
“You gave us memories we will cherish for the rest of our lives.”
“Our guests told us how much they loved the wedding.”
A message like that makes the tiredness disappear. I pause in the middle of cleaning and read it for a long time. Then I smile and think, “We did well today.”
I have saved the messages sent by couples after their weddings and read each one with care. One day, when I looked through them all together, I began to notice several things they had in common.
That is the story I would like to share today.
“Everyone Loved the Beautiful Venue and the Food”
The comments we hear most often are that the venue looked beautiful and the food was delicious.
“Our families and guests all said the food was delicious and the venue was beautiful, which made us even happier.”
— Real messages from LAMI couples
“The flowers were arranged beautifully, and our guests loved the flowers they were given to take home.”
“Everyone told us they thoroughly enjoyed the food.”
It is difficult to describe how proud those messages make me feel. Reactions like these are why I visit the flower market on Friday mornings, choose the flowers myself, and arrange every detail by hand.
The screenshots in this article show the original messages in Korean. Their English translations appear in the quotations throughout the article.

“The Photos Turned Out Beautifully”
We often hear how pleased couples are with their wedding photographs.
“Wow, the photos turned out beautifully. Thanks to you, we were able to enjoy every moment of our wedding.”
— Messages from LAMI couples
“It was exactly the wedding I had hoped for. I especially loved how you decorated the terrace.”
We prepare the photographs with the hope that couples will remember their meaningful day for many years. Their happiness makes me happy as well.
The venue, food, flowers, and photographs are all visible parts of the wedding. Hearing that couples appreciated these details gives me tremendous encouragement because I prepare each one personally.

Are a Beautiful Venue and Good Food Enough?
Honestly, many venues today can offer attractive interiors and reasonably good food. That does not mean these things are unimportant. I pay close attention to every flower and continue improving the menu in response to guest feedback.
But when you read through LAMI’s reviews, you begin to notice comments that are less common in reviews of larger wedding venues.
I believe those comments reveal what makes the experience genuinely different.

“We Loved Having the Venue to Ourselves”
There is one thing couples who marry at LAMI mention again and again.
“Everyone praised the beautiful venue and loved how private it felt. That made us twice as happy.”
— Reviews from LAMI couples
“It was wonderful to have the entire venue to ourselves and enjoy the wedding without feeling rushed.”
From the beginning, I established a clear principle for LAMI: we host one private event at a time and no more than two in a day. For four hours, the entire venue belongs to one couple and their guests.
The reception also takes place in the same space, so your guests never mix with another wedding party.
At a large wedding hall, guests may end up sharing a crowded buffet with people from other weddings. They can spend their time searching for familiar faces and may struggle to have a proper conversation in the noise.
A meaningful wedding can easily become a hurried meal followed by a quick departure.
We believe a true celebration gives couples, families, and guests the time and privacy to be fully present together.

What Is Different About Working Directly with the Owner?
From beginning to end, I understand what each couple is worried about and what they hope to create. Some of the messages that make me proudest are about the planning process itself.
“I asked so many questions, but you always replied so quickly. Thank you for being so patient with us.”
— A LAMI couple
I personally guide the process from the initial consultation through the wedding day. The person who answers your first call is the same person who oversees the venue on the day of your wedding.
No matter how beautiful a venue may be, it is difficult to enjoy the wedding if the planning process leaves you feeling uncertain.
💡 Slow replies, inflexible answers, and unexpected restrictions revealed only on the wedding day can quickly turn excitement into anxiety.
Policies are meant to support people, not the other way around. Within what is safely and practically possible, I consider each couple’s circumstances and try to respond with flexibility.

Creating Happy Memories That Last
Some of the messages that moved me most said that families were still talking about the wedding long after it had ended.
“My mother was talking about the wedding again yesterday.”
— Messages from LAMI couples
“Every one of our guests said we had chosen such a wonderful venue.”
✅ That is what makes a wedding truly meaningful. It becomes a day that families continue to remember and talk about. Creating that kind of day is why I do this work.

Growing Through Word of Mouth
Many couples tell us that they plan to recommend LAMI to friends and family.
“LAMI is the best place for an intimate wedding in Daejeon. I will definitely recommend it to friends who are getting married.”
— Reviews from LAMI couples
“I hope LAMI continues to grow. I will happily spread the word. Thank you again.”
To be honest, I have never been someone who spends heavily on marketing. I believe it is more important to care for each couple properly and allow genuine recommendations to grow naturally.
Thankfully, couples continue to discover LAMI in exactly that way.
You may be wondering whether you have chosen the right venue, whether the food will satisfy your guests, whether planning will become overwhelming, or whether everyone will feel comfortable on the day.
Please feel free to contact us. Whether or not you decide to book, you are welcome to ask every question you have. I answer the inquiries personally, and the more I understand about your situation, the better I can help.
At LAMI, we want the couple and every guest to leave happy. Receiving a message that tells us they did is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.
