Meet LAMI, Our Venue Cat

Hello, I’m Mi-young On, founder and wedding director of LAMI Convention Wedding.

There is a cat who enjoys leisurely walks around the waterside park in Wonshinheung-dong. This is LAMI, our resident cat and a much-loved member of the LAMI Convention Wedding family.

I was told LAMI is a blue Scottish Straight, although some visitors say LAMI may be a Russian Blue. I cannot say for certain. Either way, LAMI looks positively regal.

LAMI is gentle, friendly, and remarkably well-behaved.

A Natural in Front of the Camera

Many of the couples who visit us are cat lovers, and quite a few begin smiling the moment they see LAMI.

Last autumn, LAMI even volunteered as a model during a wedding photo session. No one called LAMI over—our little model simply wandered into the frame as though it were the most natural thing in the world.

LAMI has become something of a local celebrity as the neighborhood’s walking cat.

But the Hunting Instinct Is Still There…

One day, LAMI caught a sparrow and sat proudly in front of the entrance as if waiting to show us the prize.

We could not open the door just then. When LAMI was not looking, we quietly buried the sparrow. A cat’s natural hunting instinct is difficult to change.

LAMI is wonderfully affectionate, and we grow more attached every day.

Some couples have told us that seeing LAMI helped them relax before their consultation. After a wedding, guests occasionally pause on the terrace to rest and spend a little time petting LAMI.

On Friday mornings, after I return from the flower market and begin preparing the arrangements, LAMI often comes and quietly sits beside me whenever I start to feel tired. That small gesture always lifts my spirits.
